JERRY’S FUND – helping kids

Helping people in lockdown

Christmas Carols

Winter 2019. A third Dublin church joined in. A group from Drumcondra Seventh-day Adventist church served as ACS singing for participants at a soup run offered by Friends Helping Friends. Later they did it again at GPO. See more…

First soup run

Autumn 2019. A blessing in disguise: Hope in the Darkness could not serve one usual Sunday night, so we offered to help and run the program in their behalf. All going well, we decided to offer the same, every other week, on Saturday nights. See more…

Fundraise for a van

Summer 2019. Members of the two churches raised 2,000 euro, contributing to a fundraiser for a van needed by Hope in the Darkness. Two members volunteered for a sleep-out night to raise awareness of the needs for the homeless people. See more…

#100 Sandwiches – weekly

Summer 2018. Having checked the needs of Hope in the Darkness, the Dublin Romanian Seventh-day Adventist Church joined in with volunteers, offering on a weekly basis more than 100 healthy sandwiches. See more…

Help every quarter

Spring 2018. Following a very good feedback, Dublin West started helping Hope in the Darkness every three months (when we had our Communion service) with food, sleeping bags, canned food, toiletries, money, volunteers etc. See more…

First project

November 2017. At Dublin West Seventh-day Adventist Church we decided to donate all the gatherings for the Thanksgiving day to Hope in the Darkness, a group which served a soup run at GPO, Dublin City Centre. See more…
